Buen vivir y pueblos originarios en el proceso constituyente chileno

Abstract

Este artículo reflexiona sobre la participación de los pueblos originarios en el último proceso constituyente chileno que culminó con el rechazo a la propuesta de una nueva Constitución. Se propone que el encuentro de diferentes cosmovisiones indígenas con otras visiones del mundo provocó conflictos de carácter ontológico, en particular con el concepto de Buen vivir. Estos conflictos se analizan y describen a partir de entrevistas a participantes directos en el proceso. En las consideraciones finales menciona que fue el sentido de urgencia y no la falta de disposición lo que más podría haber influido en el proceso constituyente y su resultado.

<strong>Buen Vivir and indigenous peoples in the Chilean constituent process: ontological conflicts</strong> <br> This article analyses the participation of indigenous people in the last Chilean constituent process, which ended with the rejection of the proposal for a new Constitution. It shows how the encounter of different indigenous worldviews with others views and beliefs provoked ontological conflicts, in particular with the concept of Buen vivir (Good Living). These conflicts are analysed and described on the basis of interviews conducted with participants directly involved in the process. In the concluding remarks, the article states that it was the sense of urgency rather than a lack of willingness that may have had the greatest influence on the constituent process and its outcome.
