Potentials of the Internet for the electronic customer relationship management (eCRM) by the example of the Raiffeisen-Warengenossenschaften
The changing business environment for Agribusiness, the progressive developments in the ICT technology as well as the current discussion around customer orientation strengthen the meaning of a successful management of customer relationship management (CRM). This dissertation discusses the application potentials of the Internet for eCRM of the Raiffeisen-Warengenossenschaften as center of new solutions for innovation and economic efficiency during the competition process and develops a sustainable eCRM concept for practical application.
In the context of a dynamic online management process (OMP) the situation analysis as well as the chances and risks analysis come to the conclusion, that the Internet gains at strategic meaning for the entrepreneurial success against the backround of increasing competition, new ways of intermediation, the transformation of traditional creation of value chains, changed customer requirements etc. In particular the potentials of the Internet for the stabilization of customer orientation (eCRM) and the rationalization of business processes (e-Business) is thereby of importance.
In this dissertation the developed eCRM concept and eCRM model serve as method of resolution, in order to ensure the customer focus within all online activities and to systemize and integrate all components of eCRM aligned with the enterprise strategy. Thus, two innovative and efficient approaches serve for the stabilization and safety of the competitive ability.
A requirement for systematic decision making processes and the arrangement of operational measures in eCRM is knowledge of profiles, behaviors and needs of the target group. For this the Raiffeisen-Portal was conceived as an example of a web controlling model, which, based on online market research, represents a report system for the continuous production of decision relevant information as well as an action manual to their use in eCRM.
The empirical analysis of server based logfiles and the user data base of the Raiffeisen-Portal does not only offer new insights into the profiles and behaviors of the Internet users, but shows also that the condition for a stronger customer orientation does primarily exist in the creation of an increase in value for the user. Beyond that the progress control of individual customer retention and promotion campaigns derives statements about the efficiency of accomplished online activities. The action recommendations for the Raiffeisen-Portal show, that the Raiffeisen cooperatives must measure their Internet appearance increasingly in the realized grade of personalization and the offered added value information and services.
