El 'problema' del victimario

Abstract

A pesar de que en Chile los debates acerca del lugar de los perpetradores de violaciones a los derechos humanos se han suscitado desde la década de 1990, el desarrollo del subcampo de estudios de sus representaciones es apenas incipiente. En este ámbito se inscribe este trabajo, que aborda de manera general la cuestión de la representación del perpetrador, reflexionando, específicamente acerca de la tensión existente entre la representación pública de estos sujetos, elaborada en el proyecto de justicia transicional chileno, y la representación cultural de estos actores. Al respecto, la hipótesis planteada señala que el ámbito de las representaciones culturales se ha configurado como un importante campo de significación, en el que se produce una deconstrucción de la identidad del victimario, que tiene el potencial de intervenir en la elaboración social de la figura del perpetrador, disputando espacio a las representaciones públicas de estos actores. El análisis desarrollado se basa en la observación general de un corpus amplio, que incluye los Informes de las Comisiones de Verdad chilenas, reportajes periodísticos y obras literarias y audiovisuales, que forman parte del campo de representaciones del perpetrador y de la memoria post dictatorial chilena.

<strong>The ‘problem’ of the victimizer: tensions and disputes around the representation of perpetrators in post-dictatorship Chile</strong> <br> Despite the fact that in Chile the debates about the place of the perpetrators of human rights violations have arisen since the 1990s, the development of the subfield of studies of their representations is barely incipient. This essay is inscribed in this field and addresses the question of the representation of the perpetrator in a general way, reflecting specifically on the tension between the public representation of these subjects, elaborated in the Chilean transitional justice project, and cultural representation of these actors. In this regard, the hypothesis proposed indicates that the field of cultural representations has been configured as an important space of meaning, in which a deconstruction of the identity of the perpetrator takes place, which has the potential to intervene in the social elaboration of the figure. of the perpetrator, disputing space for the public representations of these actors.
