Inhalt
The purpose of this bibliography is to bring together a rather diffused literature from many different disciplines in order to provide a research tool for those scholars interested in "Middle Eastern Cities and Islamic Urbanism". It is a joint effort of the editors and a number of collaborators, all of whom are geographers by academic background. There are over 7.500 annotated bibliographic entries (with subject descriptors), and the examination of each entry and verification of the bibliographic information and descriptors have taken a number of years to compile and complete.
