Ética ambiental y estética decolonial

Abstract

En este ensayo se intenta mostrar por qué es necesario extender la exigencia de epistemologías alternativas a estéticas alternativas en la propuesta del buen vivir. La necesidad de la ampliación se basa en la diferencia entre dos maneras de posicionarse frente a lo real, la epistémica y la estética, que pueden ser armónicas y complementarias, pero son esencialmente irreductibles entre sí. Dicha ampliación conduce hacia la idea de una estética decolonial, cuya aplicación a manifestaciones culturales de comunidades indígenas ofrece valiosos elementos para pensar la relación entre ser humano y naturaleza en sintonía con una ética ambiental intercultural y en pro de una vida buena. Como caso ejemplar se presenta la experiencia estética en la llamada Fiesta de la Pachamama, de la que se extraen determinadas consecuencias favorables para el desarrollo del buen vivir.

<strong> Enviromental ethics and decolonial aesthetics: The festival of Pachamama as practice of a good life</strong> <br> This working paper aims to show why it is necessary to increase the demand for alternative epistemologies to alternative aesthetics in the project of buen vivir. The need of this extension is based on the difference between two ways of behaving toward reality, namely the epistemic and the aesthetic. Both could be harmonious and complementary, but they are essentially irreducible to each other. Such an extension leads to the idea of a decolonial aesthetics, whose application to cultural manifestations of indigenous communities offers valuable elements to rethink the relationship between human beings and nature in sync with an intercultural environmental ethics and for the benefit of a good life. The aesthetic experience contained in the so-called Festival of Pachamama is presented as an exemplary case, from which certain favourable consequences are drawn for the development of buen vivir.
