note = {Adenosine receptors are G-protein-coupled receptors present in the cell membranes of many organs and tissues. Four different subtypes are known to date (A1, A2A, A2B, A3). Fluorescence-labeled ligands are becoming increasingly important for studies of receptor regulation and their function. New BODIPY derivatives were synthesized bearing different spacer lengths and various functional groups suitable for labeling of receptor ligands. The BODIPY-derivatives have been attached to adenosine receptor antagonists. Labeled compounds were investigated in radioligand binding studies. Some products retained high receptor affinity and were strongly fluoreccent.},
